Festival of Trees and Lights
There are many events during the holiday season that also double as fundraising events for worthy causes. One of these events for a worthy cause starts tonight, Wednesday the 27th– the 35th annual Festival of Trees and Lights, which is taking place again in the ballroom at the Iowa Events Center. For $5, you can view the room-ful of beautifully decorated trees. There’s a children’s area, food for purchase and entertainment. The proceeds of the event go to support the Child Life program and the Center for Advocacy & Outreach at Blank Children’s Hospital. As a family who has benefited from the Child Life program, this is an event I always attend and will always recommend to others. The event starts today from 11 to 7, tomorrow from 1-7, Friday and Saturday from 11-7, and Sunday from 11-5.
Where: Community Choice Credit Union at Iowa Events Center
When: Daily, Wednesday November 27th through Sunday, December 1st
Cost: $5 per person, 2 and under free
