Looking Ahead

Dave & Busters
Did you know that until 2018, arcade and sports bar chains like Dave & Buster’s couldn’t open in Iowa because they offered prizes worth more than $100? With the change made to the law in 2018, the door was opened. Dave & Buster’s is working right now to update the vacant Younkers location in Jordan Creek Mall. It should be open early to mid 2020.

GameDay
Meanwhile, another arcade/restaurant opened yesterday, December 10th in the Merle Hay Mall near the Flix Brewhouse entrance. It’s called GameDay, and it offers two sides to the establishment– one side offers 75 arcade games, the other, a sports bar style restaurant with more than 30 TVs.
Where: Merle Hay Mall, 3800 Merle Hay Road
When: Open M-Th 11-12, F-Sa 11-1, Su 11-11pm
