DSM 411: February 26th, 2020

Next week, the podcast’s 50th episode will mark the 1-year anniversary of the weekly DSM 411 podcast episodes. I am happy and proud to have made it to this milestone and have come to recognize that the listenership numbers haven’t grown enough to encourage me to continue past my goal of the 1-year mark. So, after next week — for now — I am taking a permanent hiatus from these weekly episodes.

That said, I DO get a lot of personal enjoyment out of researching what’s happening around Des Moines and then actually participating in those things. I’m actually getting out there — the process has worked! At least for me. So, I’m planning to continue that work to some degree. One space that may make more sense for my weekly updates is Instagram. The updates I highlight in the podcast more so suit the medium there. If you don’t follow me on social media yet, be sure to do that. Updates should dramatically increase in those spaces.

In the meantime, we still have two episodes left, so let’s talk through our highlights for this week, which cover 7 categories.

This episode discusses things happening around Des Moines in February 2020. Updates include more live theater, a book festival, dude yoga, another bike ride, baseball tickets, bacon, art, basketball, and Sesame Street. Check out the details of each update below.
